Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty who were at one time in a serious relationship has come together for a business venture. Akshay Kumar has join hands with Shilpa Shetty and her husband, billionare businessman Raj Kundra for India's first celebrity teleshopping channel.
Celebrities will be selling their own products on ‘Best Deal TV’ channel. The products will be ranged somewhere between Rs 2000- Rs 6000. It is for the first time in Indian television that a celebrity teleshopping channel is being launched.
Speaking about his new venture, Akshay said, “Teleshopping business is big in the world. Raj Kundra and I came up with an idea of launching a celebrity-based teleshopping channel, where celebrities will sell products,” Indian media reported.
“I thought we keep running behind brands doing ads for them, helping their brands, so why not start our own brands that we can endorse? So different celebrities will come on the channel and sell and endorse brands that they will co-own with Best Deal TV,” he added.
Sonakshi Sinha has also decided to be a part of the channel. She will be launching her own line of products where she will be designing and involved in the other processes like packaging of the product. She is not only a brand face but is also the co-owner of the channel along with Akshay Kumar and Raj Kundra.
