TEL AVIV: Tel Aviv shares were down more than percent in early trade on Sunday after Standard & Poor's downgraded the United States' credit rating.
The Tel Aviv 25 blue chip index was down 5.25 percent to 1094.33 points at 0755 GMT. The market's opening was delayed by nearly an hour as circuit breakers kicked in when shares fell over five percent in pre-market trade.
