Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is on cloud nine with the success of ‘PK’ and now she is gearing up for her next much awaited project.
Anushka Sharma will be seen playing the role of Jazz singer in the upcoming movie ‘Bombay Velvet’. She has retro styled hair, makeup and the long silver earrings that add to the glamorous appeal, followed by the Marilyn Monroe inspired pose being pulled off by the actress quite well, media reported.
The film is based in the 60s era. Ranbir Kapoor plays Johnny Balraj, a street fighter who turns into a tycoon in the movie, and Anushka Sharma plays nightclub jazz singer Rosie.
The film directed by Anurag Kashyap, the movie features Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Karan Johar, and Kay Kay Menon among others. The romantic thriller is being presented by Fox Star Studios and has been produced by Phantom Films.
‘Bombay Velvet’ is slated to release in May 2015.
