SEOUL: South Korean shipbuilder and electric equipment maker Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd said on Tuesday that it has won an order to build six large container ships from an unidentified European shipper.

The company declined to reveal the value of the order.

Earlier, the Korea Economic Daily said in an online edition that the deal was worth $800 million.
