LONDON: India were bowled out for 286 in reply to England's first innings 474 for eight declared, a deficit of 188 runs, on the third day of the first Test at Lord's on Saturday.
Rahul Dravid was 103 not out after seamer Stuart Broad led England's attack with four wickets for 37 runs in 22 overs.
This is the first of a four-Test series.
