Eight killed, 17 injured in Karachi firing
KARACHI: At least eight persons were killed while 17 others were injured during a clash between two rival groups here on Friday, police said.
The clash occurred in Malir and Khokhrapar here as two groups opened fires on each others.
As a result, at least eight persons were killed while several others were injured.
After the incident, fear grips the area. Shops and markets in the area were closed and the injured shifted to hospitals while police and Rangers were deployed in the affected areas.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Sindh, Manzoor Wasan said on Friday that seven people were killed and 10 injured in firing incidents.
He urged all political parties and institutions to play their role to restore peace in the city.
