Two injured in twin Karachi blasts, no casualties

KARACHI: At least two people have been injured in twin bomb explosions reported on Monday in Karachi. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
The first blast occurred near Eidgah police station in Lee Market area. Minutes later, the second blast hit Shah Latif Police Station in Malir.
There were no reports of any casualties, but the Malir blast caused damage to the wall of the police station.
Police are investigating the incident.
The police said that the low-intensity blast was apparently caused by a cracker.
DIG East Shaukat Ali, while talking to the media said, "The blast was caused by a cracker with explosive material between 2-4 lbs."
Security has been beefed up across the provincial capital.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the incidents and ordered CCPO Karachi to submit the investigation report.
