The English-Irish boy band became the first group to score four consecutive No. 1 debuts on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart in less than three years and has toppled Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’.
According to media reports, One Direction's ‘Four’ secured first position in Billboard 200 chart after breaking the three-week-old record of Taylor Swift's ‘1989’. One Direction's fourth album, ‘Four’, sold 387,000 copies in the United States in a week up to November 23 2014, while Swift's ‘1989’ dropped to No. 2 this week with 214,000 sales.

Recently ‘One Direction’ has also won many awards at the ‘American Music Awards’ ceremony including ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Favorite Album’ for their latest release.
