Bollywood latest release ‘Kill Dil’ starring Pakistani actor Ali Zafar in a prominent role has been praised by critics as well as moviegoers especially in Pakistan.
While the film opened to an encouraging response in India, it created a splash at the Pakistan box office with 85-90% occupancy over the weekend. The film registered a huge weekend in Pakistani and became the third biggest opener of the year after ‘Kick’ and ‘Happy New Year’ collecting approximately 2.65 crore elbowing out ‘Bang Bang’ collections in the country, media reported.
Ali Zafar who aimed to be known as a versatile actor after ‘Kill Dil’ has received raved review from the audience.
According to Indian media reports, directed by Shaad Ali, the revenge drama released on November 14 and got off to a not-so-great start by raking in Rs 6.85 crore by the end of day 1. However, the collections were a bit better on Saturday as the Ranveer starrer managed to mint Rs 7.10 crore. On Sunday, the scenario was pretty much the same with Rs 7.5 crore approximately on day 3 this bringing its domestic weekend total to around Rs 21.45 crore.
