Rs170mn for improvement of industrial estates
SIALKOT: Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) has evolved a comprehensive plan for the improvement of infrastructure in existing small industrial estates functioning across the Punjab, said Managing Director Farhan Aziz Khawaja.
In an interview with APP here, he said that during current fiscal year more than Rs170 million would be spent on infrastructure development in the province.
Under the programme Rs74 million would be spent on the improvement of roads and drains etc in small industrial estates-1 and small industrial estate-2 in Gujranwala, he said.
He said that last year special attention was paid to improvement of the Daska mini-industrial estate, adding that more than 80 percent development work on roads and drains had been completed while the remaining work would be completed in three months.
