Pakistani singer turned scholar Junaid Jamshed said it was his idea to Imran Khan in 1993 to form a political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).
In an interview to a local media, Junaid Jamshed said he would support every single person who stood against this corrupt system. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is doing the right thing. Junaid said the system running the country was very wrong. “I don’t like to sing ‘dil dil Pakistan’ in this situation,” he said.
The Islamic scholar will also announce soon whether he will join the ‘Azadi movement’ led by PTI chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad.
According to media reports, speaking about Khan’s demand of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation, Jamshed said, “He misused the system hence he should step down”. He said what Imran demanding is the ‘voice of nation’ and status quo is needed to be beaten. He further said if Imran calls off his movement, the people won’t return to their homes without changing the system.
He also posted on twitter saying, “I m going to the media now regarding IK’s dharna and what this venomous system is doing to us. I have made up my mind now. Please pray for me”.
