LJUBLJANA: The Bank of Slovenia expects gross domestic product (GDP) to grow some 2 percent this year, driven by exports, and between 2 and 3 percent in 2012 and 2013, in line with its previous forecast.
In a statement following its board meeting on Tuesday, it said annual inflation is expected to rise in the second half of the year but then slow to about 2 percent in 2012.
It also said Slovenia's banking system had posted a joint profit of 63.1 million euros in the first five months of this year after ending 2010 in a loss.
