BERLIN: German economic growth next year will be "clearly better" than currently expected by the time the government issues new official forecasts in October, helping to create leeway for tax cuts, the economy minister said on Monday.
Economy Minister Philipp Roesler, head of the junior ruling coalition partner, the Free Democrats (FDP), who came to power in 2009 promising tax cuts -- said Chancellor Angela Merkel's centre-right government should present a draft law prior to parliament passing the budget for 2012 expected in November.
