imageISLAMABAD: National Assembly on Tuesday assured fullest support to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and vowed to resist the efforts to derail democracy.

Resuming the debate on current political situation of the country, they condemned the efforts of so called change by singing songs on roads saying the Prime Minister could not be removed through sit ins.

Rajab Ali Baloch of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) criticizing former Additional Secretary Election Commission Afzal Khan said the former official has levelled allegations without any proof.

He strongly rejected the allegations of 35 punctures in elections 2013, saying in many constituencies - the candidates of PTI had lost elections with huge margin. New electoral reforms should be introduced. From next elections the government should be handed over to a person, who stages a sit-in with maximum people.

He criticized Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi for conspiring against the system. Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran Tahirul Qadri were conspiring on behalf of their foreign masters.

A commission, headed by Imran Khan should be constituted to probe the rigging elections while the commission of probing Model Town incident should be investigated and headed by Dr Tahirul Qadri.

Maulana Muhammad Gohar Shah of Jamiat Ulem-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) said Islamic system should be enforced for resolving the problems of the country.

Imran Khan wants to derail the democratic system in the country, he said.

Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) termed the dance at sit-ins as unconstitutional and stressed the resolution of issues through negotiations.

PTI he said should also resign from provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
