maarka-e-chuprialISLAMABAD: ‘Ma'arka-e-Chuprial'- a story about group combat of soldiers from 12 NLI during Operation Rah-e-Raast will be aired this Friday PTV Home.

Ma'arka-e-Chuprial is the fourth drama of `Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aaagay', a drama series produced by ISPR in collaboration with Communications Research Strategies as a humble endeavour to pay homage to the courageous people of Pakistan and its armed forces whose resilience and sacrifices have turned the tide of extremism and militancy in most of the troubled areas of Pakistan.

The story depicts a difficult group action of the soldiers from 12 Northern Light Infantry during operation Rah-e-Raast in which they overpowered militants, penetrated deep in to their territory and got hold of two vital peaks. The whole combat took lives of seven soldiers that held the mountain peaks dying one after the other till the ground support reached. This success opened a strategically crucial approach to Sakhra valley for Pakistani forces.

The action packed drama is written by maestro Asghar Nadeem Syed and directed by Azeem Sajjad. Prominent cast includes Col. Ather Rana, Maj. Muhammad Adnan, Lt. Tayyab Mahi, Imran Rizvi and Ruhi Khan.
