FRANKFURT: German exports fell by 5.5 percent in April from the previous month as an ebb in global activity hit the world's second largest exporter after China, data released on Wednesday by the national statistics office showed.
Imports declined by 2.5 percent, the Destatis office added, leaving Germany with a seasonal and calendar-corrected trade surplus of 12 billion euros ($17.6 billion).
