KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Wednesday said that Sindh Government will not leave the people at the mercy of terrorists and will establish its writ at all cost.
In a statement here , the Minister strongly condemned the handgrenade and firing attack on the innocent people of Lyari taking more than one dozen human lives including women and children. The Additional Inspector General of Police (Karachi) has been issued directives to control the Lyari situation, he said.
He said the law and order problem was being created in Karachi through a conspiracy. During last six months of the on- going targeted operation in Karachi, the police and rangers have arrested thousands of terrorists and other criminals and have got many of them punished from the courts of law. Many jawans of police and rangers sacrificed their lives during this operation.
However, he continued, the morale of our law enforcing personnel was still high and they are in action against the criminals with full vigor.
Memon said that his government will utilise all available means to ensure security to life and property in Lyari and the rest of province.
