WCCI lauds budget 2011-12

ISLAMABAD: Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Islamabad (WCCI) welcomed the fiscal budget and termed it a good effort of the government to give relief to masses in the current financial crunch.

Talking to APP here on Sunday President WCCI Samina Fazil said that 15 to 20 percent raise in pensions of retired government employees is a good step as they did not have any other source of income.

She also lauded the relaxation in tax limit from Rs300,000 to 350,000, adding, "business class is worried due to increasing dearness and inflation and this relief would be a good incentive for them."

She said the government should focus on income generation and establishing small businesses so that the trade activity could be increased in the country and people could become self employed.
