Karachi: The Sindh Assembly on Monday unanimously passed the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act. Sindh minister for finance Syed Murad Ali Shah told the house that under this Act the Sindh government

would collect sales tax on services from July 01, 2011. Earlier, this tax was used to be collected by the federal government, and now Sindh Revenue Board would collect it at the rate of 16percent.
