France sells 8.48bn euros in long-term bonds
PARIS: France sold 8.48 billion euros of long-term OAT bonds at auction on Wednesday including a new 10-year bond due in 2021, its debt management agency said, hitting the upper end of estimates.
Average yields ranged from 3.02 percent to 3.63 percent. The new 10-year benchmark sold at 3.50 percent.
It sold 1.55 billion euros of its 4 percent OAT due in April 2018, and 1.93 billion euros of its 4.25 percent OAT due in October 2023, Agence France Tresor said.
The agency sold 5.0 billion of the new 3.25 percent OAT with a maturity date of October 2021.
The AFT had been expecting to sell between 7.5 and 8.5 billion euros in debt during the auction.
