QUETTA: Anti-polio campaign has been kicked off in five districts of Balochistan, here on Monday.
Officials said that that the medical and volunteer teams have reached five districts including Qila Abdullah, Zhob, Shirani, Pishin and Quetta and they have started administering anti-polio vaccine to the children aged below five.
They said that over 0.7 million children would be administered anti-polio drops during the campaign.
The Monitoring room set up at the Health Department office has been supervising the campaign.
Earlier, the lady health workers had denied participating in the campaign as they could not receive their salaries over few months. However, later, they agreed to attend their duty in the anti-polio drive after the provincial government assured them to release their salaries with immediate effect.
