ISLAMABAD: Renowned political analyst and expert of international relations Dr Huma Baqai has said Britain thinks that the 2nd May incident should not be allowed to spoil Pak-US relations to an extent, affecting their end game in Afghanistan.

Talking in Radio Pakistan, Dr Baqai said British tone was soft during talks with Pakistan, although they expressed security concerns.

Huma Baqai said that Britain's stance largely depends upon the United States. She said Britain thinks that the level of relations between Pakistan and the United States would negatively affect the regional politics.

She said Britain prepares ground for the US stance. To a question whether Britain keeps its interest in focus, while preparing ground for the United States, she said the most important issue is the exit of NATO troops as the public opinion in European countries is not in favour of prolonging the Afghan war.
