ISLAMABAD: No assurance has been rendered to Shahid Afridi of retaining him as skipper for upcoming One Day International (ODI) tour of Ireland, said the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Ajaz Butt, here on Wednesday.
While talking to a private television channel, Ajaz Butt said that he clearly told Afridi in last meeting that owing to his disciplinary issue yet no decision has been taken over his captaincy.
He added that consultation is underway over selection of team for Ireland's ODI tour and within a day or two finalized team will be announced.
