ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Industries and Defence Production, Ch Pervez Elahi on Tuesday said that the government is taking measures to promote the poultry industry in the country.
He was talking to a delegation of poultry industry, led by Dr Aslam, Dr Hassan Saroosh and Dr Sadiq, while Raza Basharat, Advisor to Prime Minister was also present in the meeting.
The federal minister assured the delegation that all issues of the industry, including taxing on poultry products, would be resolved to help the industry flourish.
He said that poultry industry has been playing an important role in the overall economic development besides facilitating the people directly, according to press statement issued here by the ministry.
He said that this industry not only fulfill the food requirements of the country but also provided employment to the people
