Qaim Ali ShahLARKANA: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that under the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the women are being empowered in various fields, so that they may be able to work shoulder to shoulder with the men in order to strengthen the economy of the country as well as struggle for their rights in the society.

This he said while addressing a huge women's gathering on the occasion of "Bakhtawar Women Festival 2011" at Naudero, the home town of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto late Saturday (Saturday) night.

He congratulated the local administration, the party leadership and PPP Women Wing Larkana/ Naudero for organising such a colourful event for the entertainment of women under the instructions of Ms Faryal Talpur MNA.

He said that to achieve the target a separate ministry of women development was established so that more and more women may be able to play their positive role in the various fields of society.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah also said that it is time for struggle to implement the manifesto of PPP and the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

He said that he was very impressed by the participation of such a number of women in the Festival as well as the tableaux (tableaux) presented by the school children.

The Chief Minister said that the political opponents will not succeed in destabilising the present democratic system.

He said that every step would be taken for the empowerment of women including provision of government land which may be allotted to the landless women haris (peasants). Besides by their struggle the women could become MNAs, MPAs and minister under the party guideline.

On the occasion the Sindh Chief Minister announced an amount of Rs 7 lac 50 thousand for the school children who presented various tableaux (tableaux).

Sindh Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro also spoke on the occasion and said that the Bakhtawar Ladies Festival 2011 was organised at Naudero under the instruction of MNA Ms Faryal Talpur, in order to provide entertainment to women of the area. Besides it will enable the women to purchase the essential commodities from the stalls set up in the festival.

He also informed the large gathering of women that clubs will be established for females at Naudero and Ratodero town, and an amount of Rs two crores has been approved for the purpose by the Sindh government.

Ayaz Soomro also appreciated effort of DCO Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari, President PPP Women Wing Apa Naseeba Channa, PPP leaders Nisar Murad Bhutto, Khair Muhammad Shaikh, A.D. Bhutto, Abdul Fatah Bhutto, Education Department Larkana and the women workers of district Larkana in this regard.

Later Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah along with provincial ministers Agha Siraj Khan Durani, Mohammad Ayaz Soomro and various PPP leaders visited the house of a PPP leader, Imran Jatoi, and offered condolence with him on the demise of his brother Jan Muhammad Jatoi. They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage and fortitude to the grieved family to bear the irreparable loss.
