KARACHI: Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, Mrs. Ulrika Sundberg, Thursday called on Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, at C.M. House.
She was accompanied by Consul General Sweden in Karachi and others officials.
The Chief Minister welcomed the Swedish envoy and apprised her about working and progress achieved during the period of present elected government particularly in health, education, agriculture, coal mining, livestock, fisheries, industries and social welfare sectors.
He said that the Government has initiated many projects in the province, Thar Coal and energy project being the mahor one,for which infrastructure is being provided to attract investments.
He added that intending investors are being provided facilities for gasification and power generation projects.
He said that cordial relations existed between Pakistan and Sweden which will be improved further with the passage of time.
Ambassador of Sweden thanked the Chief Minister Sindh for warm welcome accorded to him and hoped that cultural, educational, industrial and trade relations between both the countries would be improved further.
Chief Minister Sindh also presented traditional gifts of Sindhi Chaddar, Khais and Ajrak to her and Sindhi-cap and Ajraks to other members of delegation.
