PARIS: Pakistan and France on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a Joint Business Council to promote the level of trade on win-win basis.

The MoU was inked between Pakistan Business Council and the MEDEF - Mouvement des Entreprises de France (Movement of the French Enterprises), the largest union of employers in France.Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani witnessed the signing ceremony as Chairman Pakistan Business Council Kamran Mirza and Jean Burelle, President MEDEF inked the document.

Referring to the MoU on Joint Business Council on its signing, Gilani termed the step an "immense significance" for both Pakistan and France and said it would create the basis of mutual understanding and cooperation.

He said it was the time to benefit from the potential of trade between the two countries in the fields of trade and commerce.

Gilani stressed for pursuing strong partnership in the mutual interest of Pakistan and France and said the involvement of corporate sector was important in strengthening bilateral relations.
