LONDON: European stock markets fell at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's FTSE 100 index down 0.54 percent to 6,049.96 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 slipped 0.34 percent to 7,475.18 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.18 percent to stand at 4,089.64.
