This was decided at a meeting chaired by Secretary Commerce Zafar Mahmood at TDAP along with Chief Executive TDAP Tariq Iqbal Puri here on Saturday.

It was decided that the consultation process will be undertaken with all stakeholders for taking forward the agenda of Joint Statement to produce and prepare a set of strategies for the next round of talks.

TDAP will hold seminars and workshops to create awareness and to identify opportunities in bilateral trade with the emphasis on sensitising of Indian market and regulatory requirements.

It was also decided that TDAP would coordinate with Director General of Trade Organization and FPCCI in the formation of Joint Chambers of Commerce for setting out term of references and actions to be taken for facilitating the business community.

In collaboration with academia and sectors' specialists, TDAP will develop a position paper on different aspects of trade and investment between the two countries.

The meeting was apprised that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between TDAP and its counterpart ITPO to institutionalise joint collaboration for the promotion of trade.
