NEW YORK: The US dollar hit session peaks against the yen on Wednesday, lifted by heavy demand at the New York fix, traders said.
The dollar rose to the day's highs at 82.74 yen on electronic trading platform EBS, surging ahead of the New York fixing set at 11 am EDT. It was last at 82.61 yen, up 1.4 percent.
