Shell Gas reports profit

KARACHI: Shell Gas (LPG) Pakistan has posted a profit after tax of Rs 3.774 million during the 3rd quarter ending March 31, 2011.

According to financial results reaching Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) here Monday, profit before tax surged to Rs 8.716 million during the period under review compared to a loss after tax of Rs 15.673 same period last year.

The earning per share improved to Rs 0.17 against a loss per share Rs 0.52 during the same period last year.

However, during nine months, the company has reported a loss after tax of Rs 6.881 million and loss before tax at Rs 9.085 million.

It may be noted that OPI Gas has acquired majority ownership of Shell Gas in June last year.
