TOKYO: Nissan's Japan production plunged 52.4 percent year on year in March, the automaker announced Monday, after the country was hit by a devastating earthquake and tsunami.
Domestic production fell to 47,590 units due to the effects of the quake and the termination of a government subsidy programme for environmentally-friendly vehicles, the firm said.
