KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) teams have undertaken a `kunda removing action' in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth near Al-Azhar Garden in KDA Scheme No. 33.
A statement here on Wednesday said that the teams also seized one complete span of BC wire and around 800 meter long PVC and telephone wire used for stealing electricity from the nearby power supply network.
It said that accompanied by police officials, the KESC teams successfully completed the task at this remote place despite they were attacked by the mob with bricks and stones.
The statement said that the Goth has recently come up with around 300 to 400 unauthorised houses near Chapel Sun City Bungalows across the road.
`The population of the Goth had set up an enormous network of illegal supply of electricity from the supply system of the Bungalows', the statement added.
