ISLAMABAD: The International Cricket Council president Sharad Pawar president has voiced his concerns for the 10-team format for the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
According to a private news channel, he said the decision to restrict the 2015 and 2019 World Cup to 10 full members of the ICC has come under a lot of criticism.
He has also voiced his concerns over the format. As a result the ICC executive board will be reviewing their 10-team format decision in June.
Pawar said that the ICC understand the concerns raised by the associate and affiliate members hence he had requested ICC executive board to revisit the issue.
He added that 14 teams competed in this year's World Cup hosted by eventual champions India, runners-up Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
