ISLAMABAD: Inaugural ceremony of Production of high quality solar panels from mono crystalline silicon photovoltic cells will be held here on Friday, at Pakistan Council of renewable Energy Technologies (PCRET).
Federal Minister for Science & Technology, Mir Changez Khan Jamali will be the chief guest on inauguration of Production Activity of High Quality Commercial Solar Panels.
PCRET was established by merging the National Institute of Silicon Technology (NIST) and the Pakistan Council for Appropriate Technologies (PCAT) on May 8, 2001.
It is the prime institution in the country for coordinating R&D and promotional activities in different renewable energy technologies.
The council has its head office in Islamabad and regional offices in the provisional capitals Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta and field offices at Abbottabad, Muzafarabad, Bhalwalpur and Ghokti.
It has close interaction and working relationship with NGOs & Provincial Agriculture & Social Welfares departments and other organization working for the socio-economic development of the rural and semi urban areas of the country.
