KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, chemical and edible oil were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Thursday where total number of six ships namely CGM Wagner, Thor Independence, Genius Star II, Asphait Merchant, Argent Cosmos and MV. Chem Bulk Jakarta are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, butuman, chemical and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 40953 tomes comprising 25422 tonnes imports and 15531 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 819 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
