KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, chemical and project cargo were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Multi-Purpose Terminal during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.
Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil and edible oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85 percent at the Port on Wednesday where total number of nine ships namely Sealand Michigan, MSC Jade, Nedlloyed Tasman, MV,Fisher-D, BSC Arizona, Harsanadik, Contisaphar, Olympic Serenity and Chem Road Nova are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, chemical, canola seed, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 110714 tonnes comprising 89870 tonnes imports and 20844 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2645 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
