Shipping activity at Port Qasim

 KARACHI: Five ships arrived at Port Qasim on Friday, June 22, carrying palm oil, MW-01 Containers and Chemical.

According to a report issued here by Port Qasim Authroity(PQA), berth occupancy was maintained at 28 percent at the Port on Saturday where a total of ten ships namely M.T Bom Chin, M.V Ocean Prince, M.V Safmarine Ngami, M.V Tampa Bay, M.T Taipie, M.T Al Soor-II, M.T Chem Road Vega, M.V Star Masaya, M.V Rain Bow Fairy, M.T Sunrise Wisteria are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, palm oil, containers, chemical, diesel oil, rice, urea was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where cargo volume 67958 tonnes comprises 50741 tonnes import and 17217 tonnes export, was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

M.V Ocean Prince M.V Star Masaya, M.T Al Soor-II M.T Taipie sailed on Friday afternoon, M.T Sunrise Wisteria, M.V Tampa Bay sailed on Saturday morning.

M.V Singapore Trader and M.V BBC Kosan arrived on June 23.
