Consul General of Indonesia, Totok Prianamto has expressed keen interest to enhance trade ties with Pakistan. The Indonesian Consul General was speaking at a meeting of Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA), he said that as being a Muslim country President and Prime Minister of Indonesia want more trade with Pakistan.
Indonesian envoy announced the issuance of visas to members of PCDMA within two days, so that the two countries' businessmen could boost trade relations and also explore opportunities for joint partnerships with bilateral trade.
In response to a query regarding the Free Trade Agreement with Pakistan, he said that he would discuss the FTA matter with his government.
Earlier, chairman PCDMA Amin Yousuf Balgamwala identified potential sectors for promoting trade relations between Pakistan and Indonesia, and he added that on several occasions, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan's tourism sector has very broad scope therefore, Indonesian businessman should review Pakistan's tourism sector and agricultural sector also for profitable businesses.
Amin Yousuf Balgamwala also asked the Consul General to issue multiple visas to PCDMA members, so that the commercial importer could visit Indonesia easily and conduct B2B meetings with Indonesian counterpart. Chairman PCDMA urged for a free trade agreement with Indonesia, joint business partnerships for manufacturing chemicals & dyes, exchange of trade delegations to promote bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
