Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has squashed off the controversy started by the Indian media, after they reported a story to defame the Pakistani sportsman.

A story published by India.com titled ‘Should Leave This Terrorist Country: Mohammad Amir Likes Controversial Tweet, Sparks British Passport Rumours’ made rounds on internet, the report stated that Amir liked a tweet saying, “I think he should leave terrorist country”.

The fast bowler however came out with a quick clarification, saying that he liked the tweet ‘by mistake’ adding that he intended to like the other tweet.

“No sir by mistake I liked that tweet I was trying to like other tweet,” said the bowler on social media.

The fast bowler further added that he is a proud Pakistani.
