Watch: ‘Laal Kabootar’ trailer shows dark side of Karachi

The first official trailer of Pakistani upcoming film ‘Laal Kabootar’ is out and seems like Pakistani film industry is now up to try new genre of films. The movie is more of a suspense thriller starring Ahmed Ali Akbar and Mansha Pasha in the lead roles.

The trailer gives less of a story line but have more action sequences. The two-minute-long trailer shows Adeel Nawaz (played by Ahmed) as a taxi-driver looking for a way out of Karachi to Dubai but have a lot to compromise to fulfill his dream. It also features a strong-headed stubborn Aliya Malik (played by Mansha).

Shot in Karachi and showing harsh realities, ‘Laal Kabootar’ explores the ugly side of Karachi, bringing across a taste of the city most of us have heard about but not experienced. The movie will hit local cinemas on March 22, 2019.

Speaking about the film, Mansha said in an interview that the movie is very different and realistic and straight from the streets of Karachi. She further said, “The city of Karachi hosts all sorts of people and this movie is about all the different people coming together and interacting.”
