Nick Jonas proposes his name as Batman to replace Ben Affleck

The Batman franchise is looking for a new Batman as Ben Affleck has announced retirement from his popular character.

The superhero has been played by Ben in the last two movies, but he confirmed that he won’t be back for the next stand alone Batman movie, which is officially slated for release in summer 2021.

Some media reports claims that the franchise is looking for younger Bruce Wayne, while actor/singer Nick Jonas took the opportunity to throw his hat in the ring.

Jonas responded to an Instagram post by Hypebeast asking, “Ben Affleck will be hanging up his role as Batman. The upcoming Matt Reeves-directed ‘The Batman’ focuses on a younger Bruce Wayne. Who do you think should play The Dark Knight?”.

“First name Nick, last name Jonas,” the ‘Jealous’ singer said in a comment.

Jonas’ comment was, of course, made in jest, but at 26-years young, the singer-turned-actor certainly fits the bill for Matt Reeves and Warner’s latest project.
