Opposition in Punjab Assembly on Friday showed their reservations on handing over Indian captured pilot Abhinandan Varthama to India without consultation with the opposition.
PML-N MPA Waris Kalu while speaking on the point of order said that we are supporting our army there is no second thought about it. He said that the orders of releasing Indian pilot by Prime Minister Imran Khan is according to teachings of Islam but if the prime minister take the opposition in to confidence it will be better. He also said that war is not the solution of any problem.
Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari also said that war is not the solution of any problem. He stressed that both India and Pakistan should solve their issues through dialogue. He said both the countries should focus on solving the issues faced by both the countries in the field of health and education.
During the question hour hot words were exchanged between industries minister Mian Aslam Iqbal and PML-N MPA Waris Kalu.
While answering the question industries minister Aslam Iqbal said that according to the policy which was prepared by PML-N government in 2013 officers above sixteen grades will be recruited through Public Service Commission. He said that in 2018 PML-N government brings an act so that we cannot regularize the employees.
Speaking on the point of order PPP MPA Shazia Abid said that for the last two months members of the Punjab Assembly were not getting medicines. The members also staged a protest for not getting the medicines. Shazia Abid submitted a question regarding approved seats of prosecutors in Punjab.
MPA of Majlis-e-Wahdut-ul-Muslemmen Zahra Naqvi submitted an adjournment motion for not giving due share to Shia community in Ulma Board. She said that this board was constituted for maintaining religious harmony but the Shia community was not given proper share. She also said that in the past Shia community was given equal share in the board.
Minister for religious affairs Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah responding to that assured the MPA that her reservations will be addressed.
PML-N MPA Aneeza Fatima tabled the resolution against the increase in the prices of petroleum products.
PML-N MPA Hina Pervez Butt also tabled the resolution praising Pakistan Air Force and former PM Nawaz Sharif for strengthening the defense of Pakistan by signing an agreement with China for buying JF 7 in 1997 while in 2013 Nawaz Sharif formally sign an agreement for the production of JF 7 in Pakistan.
Earlier, while talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly Abdul Aleem Khan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken visionary and far reaching decisions which have been acknowledged by the international community as well. He said that the release of Indian pilot is also another positive step to avoid the war. He also said that everybody agreed that war is not the solution but Pakistan has proven its capability well in time and Modi has lost all his credibility and badly exposed before the world.
He maintained that Indian leadership played bad game only to win the upcoming general elections but this tactic badly backfired and now no lost all cards and no option left rather than facing the consequences.
