On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,503. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 5.790 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,613.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.802 billion followed by gold PKR 1.294 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 999.790 million, silver PKR 412.871 million, platinum PKR 284.374 million, NSDQ100 PKR 280.435 million, DJ PKR 207.519 million, copper PKR 206.936 million, SP500 PKR 126.153 million, natural gas PKR 117.475 million and Brent PKR 57.594 million. In agriculture, 102 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 151.006 million were traded.
