The Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, which met with Senator Sassui Palijo in the chair, was given a detailed briefing by senior officials of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) about the arrangements for conducting free and fair election in the country.
The committee was informed that there are more than 100 million registered voters across the country with 59.7 million in Punjab, 22 million in Sindh, 15.2 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4.1 million in Balochistan and 2.2 million in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
