Price Review Committee decided to implement the official price list with letter and spirit in the district Karak and resolved to give a sigh of relief to the poor segment of the society. This was decided in the price review committee meeting held in the district with the assistant commissioner Karak Abdullah Mehsud in the chair.
The meeting was attended by all three assistant commissioners, traders and lawyers. The meeting issued the official pricelists of different daily used commodities with the consensus of traders and lawyers and decided to issue it to the traders' association to inform all the traders of the district. The meeting directed that the official pricelist would be displayed by every shopkeeper and they would be abiding to the official pricelist. The meeting directed all the three assistant commissioners to pay surprise visits to the bazaars on daily basis in their respective Tehsil area to check the prices of the daily used commodities.
The meeting warned if any trader found violating the official pricelist would be dealt with iron hands. The meeting asked the traders to support the district administration in bringing the artificial price hike lower in the district and added that the hoarders and profiteers would discouraged to loot the people in the month of Ramadan. They said that no concession would be made with anyone who found selling the commodities more than the official fixed rates. The meeting also appealed to the people to inform the district administration in case of violation of the official rates anywhere in the district to take timely action against the violators.
