The sports competitions of tug-of-war, volleyball and squash were held between universities, colleges and schools on PU greens on the third day of the National Sports Competitions - 2017 under the collaboration of HEC, Punjab University and the Educationist.
In tug-of-war contests, Punjab University pulled out University of Management and Technology (UMT) players foots to ensure its victory while for third position government Degree College Sarai Alamghir beat Islamia College Civil Lines.
In tug of war schools competitions, government Public High School No. 2 Gujrat defeated Wapda High School Shalamar in a very thrilling best of three. On Thursday, there will be competitions of football, cricket, hockey, rowing, Kabaddi, swimming and athletics.
