Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours, where three ships carrying canola seeds, chemicals and edible oil were allotted berth at FAP Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Monday, January6.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 45 percent at the Port on Tuesday where total number of five ships namely MV. AI Barella, MV, Coranado, MV. Patriotic, Karachi and MV. Bunga Allium are currently occupying berths to load/offload rice, canola seeds, chemical, Karachi and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 53,040 tonnes comprising 49642 tonnes imports and 3,398 tonnes exports was handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships MV. Patriotic and MV. Karachi sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning.
