Engineer Saeed Sheikh President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has welcomed the government's initiative for giving civil awards to the firms depositing maximum taxes towards the national kitty. In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that Faisalabad is economic and business hub of Pakistan. "It is also on top of the list in discharging its tax liabilities", he said and clarified that many Faisalabad based firm deposit their tax revenue in Karachi only because it is a port city. He said that if this amount is included in the head of Faisalabad, then perhaps Faisalabad will become the top city with maximum payment of tax revenue. Continuing, he said that individually the local businessmen also fulfil their tax liabilities with utmost honesty and national spirit.
