ICE Canadian canola futures rose on Thursday, supported by a weaker Canadian dollar. Strength in oilseed rival soybeans was also supportive January canola added $2.40 at $518.60 per tonne March canola tacked on $3 at $525.60 per tonne January-March canola spread traded 9,454 times Chicago January soybeans rose on technical buying. NYSE Liffe February rapeseed and Malaysian February crude palm oil rose. The Canadian dollar was trading at $1.3352 to the US dollar, or 74.90 US cents at 1:39 pm CST (1939 GMT) lower than Wednesday's close of $1.3274, or 75.34 US.
